2025 Fall Community Peer Support Group - Thursdays

Thank you for your interest in this Community Peer Support Group. We are glad you are taking this step in getting support for yourself. Below is more information about this group: 

This 90-minute group will run for 8 sessions, every other week for 16 weeks total.

This group starts on Thursday August 7th, 5pm PT, 8pm ET 

To be eligible to join the Community Peer Support groups, you must meet the following requirements:

1. 18 years of age or older.
2. Self-Identify as Male / Masculine-Identifying.
3. Have experienced an unwanted sexual harm, assault, childhood sexual abuse, rape, or have been the victim of any other undesired sexual perpetration.
4. Have never been, and are not currently, on a sex offender registry. 

In this group you will explore:  

• Creating safety for yourself and others 
• The effects of sexual harm on males 
• How to better manage your thoughts and feelings 
• Mind/body awareness 
• How to be compassionate toward yourself 
• Healthy boundaries
• Self care 
• The recovery process

The MenHealing Peer Support Groups provide a healing experience based on skills-building, psychoeducation, and community-building and is NOT to be construed as psychotherapy or psychiatric services or as a substitute for personal therapy. 

We suggest that those wanting to join this group are currently in, or have attended some form of therapy in the past, whether individual, group, or both. However, it is not a requirement to join this group

Peer Leaders are survivors just like you. They are volunteers at MenHealing and have taken special training on facilitating peer support groups and for presenting the particular curriculum for this group. Peer Leaders have supervision by clinical staff for the duration of the group. 

Fees collected by MenHealing do not go to the Peer Leaders. The fees are to help support MenHealing programming and administrative costs.  

Fees and Payment Plans

$25 per session for for 8 group sessions for a total of $200 with installment payments (pay later). 

One session free if you pay in full at the start of the group for a total of $175.

If you are experiencing financial hardship, financial aid is available. Please apply before registering.

All MenHealing programs are made possible by donations. If you are in a position to do so, please consider contributing to MenHealing’s financial assistance fund. All donations will help cover the support group registration fees for a survivor or partner in need. We appreciate your support.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations up to 14 days prior to the start of the group will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations of less than 14 days are non-refundable.
